Maintenance & relapse prevention.

Day 90 is not the finish line. It is the moment the protocol stops being an intervention and starts becoming who you are.

Lesson 01

What happens after day 90

By day 90 most people have measurable biomarker movement, a settled sleep and meal rhythm, and a felt sense of a different baseline. The risk is not sudden collapse — it is quiet drift. Old habits are patient.

Key concept
Maintenance is a smaller protocol, not no protocol.

The 20% of habits that produced 80% of the gain — sleep window, fasting window, plant diversity, omega-3s, movement — become non-negotiable defaults. Everything else flexes.

Lesson 02

A re-testing rhythm

Numbers keep the practice honest. Re-draw the Tier 1 panel every 6 months once you are stable; annually if numbers are optimal and behaviors are locked in. Retest earlier if you notice a symptom drift.

Glossary
The 6-month cadence

Frequent enough to catch drift, infrequent enough to reflect real trend rather than short-term noise. Same lab, same morning window, same conditions if possible.

Lesson 03

A relapse plan you write in advance

Everyone slips. Travel, illness, grief, a stretch of work. The distinguishing skill is not avoiding slips — it is having a written return protocol that gets you back before a week becomes a season.

The 7-day return
Sleep. Fast. Plants. Movement.

For seven days: strict sleep window, 14-hour fast, 30 different plants, daily movement. That is the whole plan. It works because it is short enough to actually execute.

"The reset is not the achievement. Coming back to it — quickly, without drama, again and again — is the achievement."

Action checklist
  • Identify your top-five non-negotiable habits and write them somewhere visible.
  • Schedule your next Tier 1 lab draw six months out; put it in the calendar today.
  • Write your one-page '7-day return' plan and store it in your notes app.
  • Set a monthly 15-minute review: look at your tracker trends and adjust one thing.
  • Celebrate the shift. This is not a diet you finish — it is a body you keep.
